Hi Gene, great question. Yes, our latex foam is hypoallergenic and Oeko-Tex Certified, which is an international textile certification that tests for allergens, organic compounds and how the material affects a child and it is approved for safe for use with children. It contains a blend of natural latex and man-made latex. Latex foam used in bedding, pillows, mattresses and furnishings as a whole is safe to the touch as the foam does not contain any proteins, which is really what causes allergic reactions to natural latex in it's closed cell form. Latex foam is also an open cell structure so it is breathable, not like latex gloves or balloons, which are closed cell latex rubber as air or liquids should not pass through those types of latex products. Some product marketing can be very misleading and confusing when it comes to latex foam but it is considered a premium hypoallergenic foam that does not heat up and sink under a child's body weight and always bounces back into shape so you don't experience sagging like some other materials found in mattresses.
