I used the stroller with my baby. The reclined all the way back position is perfect for small babies, it reminds me of the "old school baby buggies" that women used to push babies around in. I loved using mine inside the house as much as outside. I could lay him in it and wheel him into the kitchen or living room and keep a close eye on him. He slept comfortably in it, still does! He is 6 months old now and we can adjust it upright or back for him. I would say the car seat option is only for when they would fall asleep in the car seat on a drive and you wouldn't want to wake them by taking them out of the car seat to place them in the seat.

So to answer my question, it was not changed from the "old model" to the new "cinnamon model" and is still too short. Is that correct?

I did check my current stroller, and while she is near the top of that seat, the contour has a harder bar at the top that seems as though it would be uncomfortable.
